1978 Chevrolet Corvette 25th anniversary edition in classic white with dark brown interior. This 78 Corvette is equipped with chevys most famous V8. The small block 5.7 350 cubic inch engine. Backed by the 3 speed Turbo Hydramatic TH350 transmissiom. We purchased this car locally after it had been sitting in a climate controlled garage since 2006. After getting the car back to the shop, we decided to not do a full restoration but to get her back up and driving and let the new owner decide her fate. The motor ran just fine, it was obviously stored properly. The car idles well and the four barrels carb kick in as it should under wide open throttle. The trans shifts hard and fluid looks good. We did notice that the brake pedal was a little spongy under hard braking and we did replace the master cylinder. After returning from our first test drive we also noticed a slight antifreeze leak from the radiator, so we replaced that with a new aluminum one. The previous owner stated that the rear suspension and body mount bushing had been replaced just before it was put in storage and that appears to be correct. The body is in good shape along with the paint. The interior also appears to be completely intact and ready for a little tlc. A few things that we did notice was that the A/C was not working. We did not attempt to get it working since it is still set up for R12 refrigerant. The clock is also not working and the oil pressure gauge bounces around a bit. Overall the car is a very solid driver. It would make a great project car or weekend cruiser as is. Please contact Joe Monday - Friday 9-6 Sat 10-2 at 267-246-1126 If you would like to see and test drive the car.
